EIDX Order Model IA, Technology Option 5B:
Buyer Uses Seller's Web Application, Seller's Data is Mastered in Back-End Application
In this example, the buyer is logging into the seller's Web application to enter purchase orders.  The seller has a fully integrated e-Business solution, and is using it to receive purchase orders from customers.  The seller's Web application has functionality for displaying an initial response to the buyer.  The seller's back-end application has functionality in place for extracting purchase orders from the Web application, loading them into the back-end application, and posting purchase order responses back to the Web application.  The buyer may be notified of updated order status via e-mail.  The Web application may be the seller's application or trading hub running in the buyer's Virtual Private Network, or may be a service provided by a 3rd party.
